Online advertising is a fundamental part of reaching new customers and growing your business.

Despite the fact that many people are irritated when they are served with any form of advertising, most of them at one point or another became customers of a company thanks to advertising, whether they were aware of it or not, and whether they care to admit it or not.

Within a more and more competitive environment, it is no longer enough to create a wonderful product or develop an exceptional service. Even if it is better that others, more innovative or the first one on the market, without digital marketing and advertising, very few people will know about it, and you just simply won’t sell it.

That’s where advertising comes in. Without proper advertising, many great products and services would go unnoticed. But let’s start at the beginning. What’s an ad? An ad is a visual form of marketing communication, which shows relevant information combined with a persuasive message about a product or a service.

Nowadays, ads take many shapes or forms, but all have the same goal: effectively promote and sell this product or service.

Complementing online advertising with other aspects of digital marketing such as retargeting, you will be able to accomplish two main goals:

  • Serve ads featuring your product or service to users searching for it at a specific moment in time, leading to a better conversion.
  • Keep your product or service in the mind of users who did not convert yet by displaying your ads to them while they browse the web.


Creating an ad

Creating an ad is not as simple as it sounds. Your ad needs to be highly visible and appealing to get users’ attention and catch their interest. For a text ad for example, the headline should be striking and engaging, the description legible and clear and overall, the ad should be appealing to potential customers. It should accurately describe the product or service you are selling and convince potential customers to purchase it. 

Bad advertising can lead potential customers to go look somewhere else for similar products or services. Misleading advertising can impact the brand negatively. A well-defined and precise ad improves conversion and customer satisfaction. Advertising must be authentic, reliable and truthful otherwise it misses the point.


Publishing an ad

Ads can be served across various advertising networks. (Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Yahoo Gemini, etc.) Your ad should be served in a clever way to target the right audience at the right time and achieve optimal conversion results.


Online Advertising – a big impact on sales 

Advertising is the main form of company communication with the market, thanks to which a particular company shares information about its products or services to potential customers. Well done advertising can have a big impact on sales.

Ads bring visibility to the brand, drive competitive advantage and can the uncertainty of potential customers concerning the characteristics of the product or service and ultimately increase conversion.
